This was the first of our San Francisco actions and of course APTA was a target both at their hotel and at the Moscone Convention Center. In addition, ADAPT tackled the famous San Francisco trolleys which were not accessible in the least. We had a large contingent of local disability rights activists turn out for a huge march and rally and for some of the protests. A local coalition, SAAT, tried and were somewhat successful in highjacking the media and lime light; however, the goal, the targets and the campaign for lifts on buses were ADAPT's and were served well by the action. APTA continued to hawk their same tired lines, but cracks were beginning to show in their facade.
