I walked in the door and Luke White, who was the assistant director there, sent me out with a real old lady on the staff named Mims, and she was about a 68-year-old black woman, and I spent the entire day visiting other old black women in the community, and talked about knitting and stuff. When I came back, Luke was just laughing because he was going to show "whitey."
