Testimony HR 2020

I was 16 when I first went to Ridge Home, and through the years I lived in 5 different Nursing Homes, including a Nursing Home for children. In the Nursing Homes they WOULD NOT let me go outside. They told me that I could never move out because they said I needed a whole lot of care, and my family couldn't take care of me. I had NO wheelchair on my own now.

For the last the last 22 years I have lived in my own apartment with attendants coming in and helping me. I can go anywhere I want to go in my wheelchair on my own now.
