Proclamation

Be it known that

Whereas,

The Free Our People march and Rally is an effort to call attention to and build support for the Medicaid Community Attendant Services and Supports Act (MiCassa); and,

Whereas,
more than 100 disability rights supporters, including 28 from Texas, will participate in the March from Philadelphia to Washington, DC: and,

Whereas,

This Medicaid bill will help give disabled and older Americans a choice of home- or community-based long-term care rather than institutionalization in a nursing home;

Now, Therefore,
I, Will Wynn, Mayor of the City of Austin, Texas,
