Úvodná stránka / Albumy / Phoenix, Spring 1987 25
Phoenix was an intense action in both positive and negative ways. The local center for independent living ABIL was unusually supportive and several local advocates came to join us. The Phoenix area transit system was a mess of poorly patchworked local systems that seemed to care nothing of what riders with (and without) disabilities must go through. We were able to do some amazing actions like the Rustler's Roost protest but we also were met with harsh law enforcement as the police sent "undercover" agents to our hotel lobby and locked us up for days in the Maricopa County jail.
