Pradžia / Albumai / Columbus Ohio, fall 1999 29
Columbus Ohio was the location of the fall 1999 action. Better and more attendant services was the goal. A rally on the Capitol grounds was highlighted by Jimmi Schrode in the role of President Taft. Day one brought us to the Governor's office to try and get him to address the issue, but it got us arrested. Then we took the issue to the Senators and then to Ohio Health and Human Services. The state responded by declaring ADAPT outlaw, no more than 5 of us were allowed to appear together. But on the other hand, Ohio HHS set up a meeting on the final day to discuss ways to improve and expand attendant services.
