The 25th Anniversary of ADAPT started in ADAPT style with actions. Health and Human Services and the National Governor's Association were targeted again to show that people with disabilities are still disgusted with their lack of movement on our issues. McCain and the Republican National Committee were call on to support the Community Choice Act, and more education of Congress on the CCA were all covered during the week. On Thursday however, ADAPT took the day to celebrate a quarter century of activism by our grassroots, all-volunteer activists. It was a celebration befitting such an auspicious occasion. Tim Wheat created a mind blowing exhibit of activism through the years which included photos and memories from tons of our members. Johnny Crescendo MCed a show with voices and memories of all different ADAPT folks, there was comedy, movies, singing, skits, tears, laughter and more.
